Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player claimed his first championship for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the competition final.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has endured a challenging year, achieving just a single victory at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his service game in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and finally separating with long-time coach his previous coach.
Currently working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently improved in the recent weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's first title after the Rome competition and first on a hard court from that period of 2023.
Success also means the Russian has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct events.
"It's the first time I'm at a tournament with my both daughters at once, so to win a title is particularly special," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the first title I won when my child my daughter was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.

Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to approach the net and play assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
He fought back from a disadvantage in the first set against the difficult opponent, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the following set before the challenger, striving for his maiden professional championship, gained dominance to force a decider.
The opponent rescued 4 early break points in a competitive third set before the champion won the break to that score to serve for the match.
Suitably, the winner earned victory with a shot at the net, with his opponent failing to manage a shot after over two and a half hours.
